Wappulounas kerää Rukalle 27.–29.4. Suomen kovimmat lumilautailijat ja menevimmät bändit – fiiliksestä tinkimättä.

Rukalla jo vuodesta 2006 järjestetty ja yli viidentoista vuoden historian omaava lumilautailijoiden kauden päätöstapahtuma Wappulounas laittaa jälleen keväällä ranttaliksi. 27.–29.4. Wappulounas tarjoillaan Rukalla laajempana kuin koskaan, mutta tärkeintä on yhteinen hauskanpito. Rinteessä nähdään edelleen kolmena päivänä maailman viihdyttävintä lumilautailua hyppyreissä, jollaisia ei missään muualla näe, mutta nyt festivaalitunnelmaa on tarjolla niin yöllä kuin päivälläkin.

Bändejä esiintyy sekä ravintola Pisteen lavalla että terassilla. Wappulounas ylpeänä paljastaa kevään ensimmäiset kiinnityksensä, jotka ovat Jätkäjätkät, Karri Koira & Ruudolf, Oskari Heikkinen & Arktinen Voodoo Orkesteri ja J.Kiesi Grandes.

Neljästi Slammer-lumilautalehden lukijat ovat äänestäneet Wappulounaan vuoden parhaaksi tapahtumaksi, ja samaan tähdätään vastedeskin. ”Wappulounas on kehittynyt vuosi vuodelta, ja kun toimintaa riittää lähes ympäri vuorokauden, on tarjonta jo melko huikeaa. Tärkeintä on silti, että Wappulounas pitää fiiliksensä. Kisojen suorituspaikat ja formaatit pidetään ainutlaatuisina – niistä Wappulounas tunnetaan”, Wappulounaan tuottaja Mika Andersson kertoo.

Hienon ohjelman lisäksi tarjolla on tietenkin huimat lumilautakilpailut, jotka mitellään leppoisissa tunnelmissa. Silti – tai siitä johtuen – laskeminen on huipussaan, ja paikalla nähdään Suomen parhaat lumilautailijat. Wappulounaan kokonaiskilpailun voitto on haluttu titteli, sillä voittaja palkitaan Asenne-surffimatkalla Balille Indonesiaan. Voitosta on vuosien varrella ollut kamppailemassa mm. Roope Tonteri, Antti Autti ja Janne Lipsanen.

Wappulounas at Ruka bigger than ever

Wappulounas gathers the best riders and greatest bands at Ruka, Finland 27th to 29th of April – with good vibes.

From 2006 at Ruka and with over 15 years of history Wappulounas has been the main season-ending party for the snowboarders of Finland. This spring, Wappulounas is bigger than ever, but the most important thing is to have fun. Three days of full mayhem at the most entertaining snowboarding in obstacles you can only find at Wappulounas, and atmosphere of a festival almost day and night.

Finland’s best bands are playing at the stage and terrace of Piste restaurant. Wappulounas is proud to announce the first bands to this spring: Jätkäjätkät, Karri Koira & Ruudolf, Oskari Heikkinen & Arktinen Voodoo Orkesteri and J.Kiesi Grandes.

Wappulounas has been awarded four times in a row as the event of the year by the readers of Slammer mag, the leading snowboard magazine of Finland – and that kind of approval by the crowd is wanted hereafter. ”Wappulounas has been developed year after year, and now as there’s activity almost day around, it’s quite enormous. But most importantly, Wappulounas is keeping its spirit. The obstacles and formats of the competitions are kept unique – those are what Wappulounas is known for,” the producer of Wappulounas Mika Andersson is telling.

Besides the great program there’s of course the snowboard contests that are competed in a mellow atmosphere. Still – or because – the riding is top notch as there are the best snowboarders of Finland. The title of winning the overall of Wappulounas is truly wanted as the winner is going on a full-paid Asenne surftrip to Bali, Indonesia. Over the years, such names like Roope Tonteri, Antti Autti and Janne Lipsanen has been competing of the title.
